April 10th .. Ireland Imps Pairs will post at 530pm and run as soon as full.
Last night Bridgebase Online from what I saw left several directors trying to start events with no knowledge that said events would be cancelled at start automatically. Finally a broadcast came ay 750pm saying
The only other service that I know of like this is when you go to the supermarket too early and at the checkout you find out you cannot buy the wine at its not time yet. Even in these times of stay at home unless urgent ...the one who goes to shop early still have to return to buy the 1030 or 1230 purchases a second time. So 2 trips for the early bird. Here on BBO I tried to run the Ireland Imps Pairs 6 times before BBO finally broadcast 1 hour 50 minutes later that tourneys won't run from 6pm to 10pm.
This also generated 15 unknown phone numbers calling me around the 650pm time and about 80 BBO messages and 35 WhatsApps and texts. What am I going to be able to do ...either BBO runs or it does not.
One brains of a hobbyhorse even posted 10 seconds after the tourney filled .." So you are not running the tourney when full tonight ???? "

Eamonn...sincere thanks for your persistence last night...not your fault that the show didn't get off the ground. BBO should have issued their broadcast much earlier. When all this is over I will nominate you for a knighthood...oh, just realised that we don't do that in Ireland. Okay, I will raise a national petition that you be awarded a free tab in rvery pub in the land! Seriously though, sincere thanks for your unstinting time and effort in support of Irish bridge players throughout this isle of ours in these unusual and difficult times.
