Last night we ran 3 sessions of the Ireland Imps Pairs. Recently many Ireland competitions have failed to take off on the 1st 2nd or even 3rd go. I have no idea why this is. Maybe we were the only country whose bridge organizers requested their own directing accounts in a timely manner.
Currently to the best of my knowledge Bridgebase is not handing out director privilege.
Therefore despite many Irish folk thinking Eamon is removing them from his competition this is not the case. Most likely they are offline at the start of the event. Events are currently limited to 20 tables so that means first 40 pairs play. So when we get 40 pairs filled up we go ...not much point in hanging around. However some folk take offence and fire off 15 messages about why is tournament running without me. Simple answer you were not there so the plane took off.
